Protest at Parliament Today
Protest at Parliament Today
A group is heading to
Parliament today to protest against the imprisonment of
Kelly van Gaalen and to call for cannabis to be legalised in
New Zealand.
Wellington's weekly 420 protests were being held outside the Supreme Court but have moved to Parliament lawn.
The event will be held between 3.45pm and 5pm today, August 12th.
Cannabis Party spokesman Alistair Gregory said that parliament had given permission for the protest to go ahead.
"It is likely that acts of civil disobedience will take place at the 420 protest," he said.
"We are also collecting signatures for a petition to free Kelly van Gaalen."
