Peaceful Iranian Gathering – Christchurch CBD
Iranian-Kiwi community members will hold a peaceful public gathering in Christchurch this Sunday to eco Iranian voice inside Iran. There is nationwide protest in cities of Iran calling for regime change.
Millions of protesters are on the street, chanting death to the dictator and recognising Prince Reza Pahlavi as a unifying opposition leader to guide the transition. In recent hours, the regime has imposed a widespread communication blackout to disrupt coordination between cities.
The gathering seeks to raise awareness of human rights abuses and support a peaceful transition toward a democratic and secular future.
