Cadmus Secures Largest International Deal To Date

Auckland - Wednesday, May 29, 2002 - Payment solutions company, Cadmus Technology Limited (NZSE: CTL), announced today it has secured an additional order to supply its new terminals to Australian systems integrator, On Q Business Systems Pty Ltd. The new order, worth over NZ$4 million, will be delivered over the next 12 months, starting July, and is in addition to the deliveries already made to On Q.

"As a result of this greater than expected demand, and other anticipated orders for our new products, we have reviewed and are substantially increasing our manufacturing capacity. As the new arrangement ramps up from June, this will mean that some product originally forecast for delivery in Q4, will now be delivered in Q1 2003," says Managing Director Ian Bailey.

This order, plus the exclusive heads of agreement with Bartercard Australia Pty Ltd to act as its data processing agent and provide Cadmus pinpads and EFTPOS terminals for up to 20,000 merchants across Australia, means that Cadmus should have over 6,000 units presold into the international market by June 2003. These orders have been obtained within only ten months of marketing the product range internationally. "Because New Zealand is at the leading edge of payment solutions technologies, we have been able to use our R&D skills and our knowledge of advanced EFTPOS solutions to develop products - in this case the Cadmus terminal - that win orders in international markets," says Pat McCammon, Cadmus' General Manager of International Sales and Marketing. The Cadmus AC4500G is a standalone multipurpose terminal with a high-resolution touch panel and backlit graphics display. Built-in Internet connectivity allows for fast loading of programs and other value added services including advertising, promotions and email. The terminal can be further enhanced to provide full smart card capability. ENDS Company Background Cadmus Technology Limited designs, develops and implements innovative point-of-sale payment solutions for merchant businesses worldwide. The company is New Zealand's largest manufacturer and exporter of payment terminals, which it sells into rapidly growing markets worldwide.
