Symantec Security Response is tracking a mass-mailing worm W32.HLLW.Fizzer@mm.
The worm sends itself to all contacts in the Windows Address Book and contains a backdoor that uses mIRC to communicate with a remote attacker. The worm also contains a keylogger that keeps track of keystrokes on a users system.
Security Response has rated the virus a level 3 on a scale of 1-5, with 5 being the most serious. The threat was upgraded this morning due to the number of submissions received by Security Response.
To date, Symantec is reporting 26
corporate submissions and a total of 146 submissions of the
