RoamAD and Adino Telecom Partner for Indian Wi-Fi Growth

Adino Telecom will supply and integrate RoamAD’s large-scale Wi-Fi networks for the Indian market

Auckland, NEW ZEALAND–December 11, 2007–RoamAD, supplier of the most advanced converged wireless networks, today announced the signing of a partnership agreement with Adino Telecom, one of India’s most experienced wireless systems integrators.

The deal follows successful pilots of RoamAD metro Wi-Fi and highway Wi-Fi networks in the Indian cities of Pune and Bangalore.

Under the agreement, Adino Telecom will supply and integrate RoamAD networks for Internet services providers, carriers, universities and government agencies on the Indian subcontinent.

“Although India is one of the fastest growing wireless markets in the world, broadband penetration is still very low at less than 0.50%,” said Martyn Levy, CEO of RoamAD.

“There is a rapidly-emerging, tech-savvy segment of the population that is demanding improved access to broadband. This growing segment is increasingly armed with the latest laptops and Wi-Fi enabled cell phones and gadgets. Metro Wi-Fi, deployed in the right places, is the fastest way to deliver easily-accessible, cost-effective, wireless broadband to the urban population,” he added.

RoamAD’s technology is already behind a number of high-profile metro Wi-Fi and highway Wi-Fi networks around the world.

Adino Telecom now offers a full suite of RoamAD-related services to complement the needs of its customers, from site survey and network design through to deployment and integration.
