Canon Appoint General Manager For Imaging Products

Canon New Zealand has appointed Kim Conner as the new general manager of the company’s Consumer Imaging Products Group (CIPG).
Kim’s appointment fills the position previously held by Craig Manson, who is now managing director, Canon New Zealand.
In making the announcement Craig Manson said: “Kim has extensive experience working with a number of quality consumer brands and is extremely well-placed to help lead our business forward.”
Kim has worked for the last five years with Schwarzkopf Professional, firstly as a national sales manager and over the last three years as general manager.
Previous to Schwarzkopf Professional, Kim held the position of Philip Morris (NZ) Ltd general manager NZ & Export, managing New Zealand and 23 markets in the South Pacific region.
“Craig and the rest of Canon’s consumer division has had a fantastic year in 2007 with Canon now sitting at number one in both digital compact and digital SLR cameras, and gaining market share in printers and digital video,” said Kim.
“I look forward to working with the team to build upon this success next year and having seen the 2008 calendar which is packed full of exciting product launches and new technologies now is an exciting time to be joining Canon,” she said.
Kim will also sit on Canon’s Executive Management team.
This position is effective immediately.
