At approximately 2.45pm this afternoon there was a 2 car head on collision on Otorohanga Road, Kihikihi.
1 occupant died at the scene and 6 other occupants have been taken to Waikato Hospital. 4 of the 6 have very serious injuries and the other 2 have moderate injuries.
The Serious Crash Unit is investigating and Otorohanga Road will be closed for several hours.
No details of the deceased or injured are available at this stage.
