Get into the swing of summer at Nathan Homestead
From 4pm to 6pm every Sunday between February 12 and March 5, Nathan Homestead’s lawns and gardens will provide the backdrop to the ever popular ‘Summer on the Lawn’ series of free summer concerts organised by Manukau City Council.
The series kicks off with the seven piece Prima Swing Riot Band, whose mix of swing, shuffle and jive are sure to get guests up and dancing.
In the following weeks, guests can chill out with
rhythm and blues band
Hip Flask, accompanied by Roger
Manins, one of Australasia’s top saxophone players, salsa
with Banda Latina and go country with the James Ray Band.
Details of these concerts are in this months ‘Arts in the City’ brochure - Council’s guide to what’s on in the Manukau art world, available from Council’s Customer Centre, libraries and arts and recreation centres or the website www.manukau.govt.nz
