Auckland BarShow set to shake up business again this July
Launched in 2006, Auckland BarShow returns this year with an even more comprehensive list of educational and inspiring seminars. This premium annual event for the bar and hospitality industry will again be held at the picturesque Alinghi Base at Auckland’s Viaduct Harbour on 17 and 18 July 2007, attracting 3000+ industry professionals from around the country.
Auckland BarShow 07 will play host to a wide array of exhibitors representing all areas of the industry. The two day event allows bar professionals to meet existing and potential suppliers in a premier harbourside location. BarShow also offers attendees the opportunity to sample new products from leading brands and meet industry innovators from around the country.
Auckland BarShow 07 will also introduce the new ‘bar training’ theatre hosted by award-winning international bartender Marco Faraone and Australasian Flair Champion Leeroy Petersen, for bartenders who are keen to sharpen up their skills. The ‘bar talks’, ‘bar tastings’ and ‘bar mixology’ stages will showcase an even broader range of subjects, presented by some of the world’s leading authorities in bar culture. The UK’s Mr Angus Winchester has been brought back by popular demand this year to host a series of talks and mixology demonstrations; as well as a selection of other international and local personalities. A full listing of talks, tastings and mixology seminars will be released closer to the show.
The 2nd annual New Zealand Bartender Magazine Bar Awards will be the official after-show networking function on the first night of Auckland BarShow (17 July). This gala sit-down dinner event held at the Hilton Hotel Ballroom at Princes Wharf will acknowledge outstanding achievements from around the country in 15 categories including Cocktail Bar of the Year, Nightclub of the Year, Cocktail List of the Year and New Bar of the Year. The winners will be determined by votes from both the trade and industry experts.
