Man trampled by bull transferred to Wellington Hospital
The Wellington based Westpac Rescue Helicopter transferred a man who had been trampled by a bull from Masterton to Wellington Hospitals earlier this evening.
As we understand it the 20 year old Masterton man was unloading bulls off of his truck at a Wairarapa meat works about 11 o'clock this morning when one of the bulls pushed open a gate and trampled the man.
He was driven to Masterton Hospital by a co-worker. At the hospital he was found to be suffering from a chest injury.
A specialist flight nurse and doctor from Wellington Hospital transferred the man on the Westpac Rescue Helicopter, arriving at Wellington about 6 pm.
The injured man's injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
