Auckland Museum is pleased to offer Victorian Supper, the latest in our ongoing and very popular series of food evenings.
The Victorian era saw untold new ingredients and recipes added to the English repertoire, from across the British Isles and the far reaches of the empire. Food fads came and went, and what you ate spoke volumes of your class.
Your genial hosts for the evening Virgil Evetts and Janneen love will guide you through five authentic Victorian dishes, carefully selected for the season, including such delights as Potted shrimps, richly buttery and redolent of mace or the delicate, creamy finesse that is watercress soup
Victorian Supper promises to be a night of fabulous food, laughter and lashings of your favourite tipple.
$50 per head includes wine and entry
into the Darwin Exhibition.
