Best Kept Secret In Town
"Yesterday
was a red letter day in NZ history, with the introduction of
free, regional transport for NZ Superannuitants on off-peak
public transport, such as trains, buses and ferries, an
event that was largely ignored by mainstream media, but one
that Grey Power is excited about," said Violet McCowatt,
Social Services and Publicity Officer for Grey
Power.
"Grey Power have fielded hundreds of enquiries which indicates to us that there is much confusion and misinformation surrounding this scheme. Accordingly, Grey Power would urge people to contact their Regional Councils to ascertain the facts pertaining to their area. People also need to be aware that this scheme does not apply to the InterIslander ferries or InterCity coaches."
