Soccer fans enjoy free public transport to ‘The Beautiful Game’

On Saturday 6th December, soccer fans that have pre-purchased tickets to see Oceania All Stars take on LA Galaxy can enjoy a free ride to and from the game.

The excitement kicks-off at Mt Smart stadium at 7.30pm, and fans that show their match tickets are able to take trains travelling to Penrose Station free of charge. Free transport to Penrose for game-goers starts three hours before kick-off, and fans should allow plenty of time for travel as there is also a 10-15 minute walk to Mt Smart from the station. Spectators should hold on to their match ticket, as they can also ride the train for free on services departing from Penrose Station following the game.

Additional services will be running on the lines servicing Penrose station, and rail passengers should visit MAXX www.maxx.co.nz or call (09) 366 6400 for further details.

Alternatively, supporters can catch one of the special bus services to get the game. These services are also free of charge for those showing their match ticket

Please note that if you do not show a valid game ticket, then normal fares will apply to train services, and the following fares will apply to bus services;

• North Shore Buses: $6.00
• Manukau City Centre Buses: $5.00
• Botany Town Centre/Pakuranga Plaza Buses: $400
• Midtown Shuttle Bus: $4.00
