No Butts About It
“No Butts About It”
The CHB Green Kiwi Trust Inc. in partnership with Keep New Zealand Beautiful and the CHB District Council, have joined in an initiative to implement the “NO BUTTS ABOUT IT” campaign.
The Trust will donate vandal proof, lockable cigarette butt receptacles to 20 Central Hawke’s Bay businesses for public use.
Simon Johnson CEO of Keep New Zealand Beautiful will host a launch for the campaign at the Waipukurau Club on Wednesday 5 August at 5.30pm
The campaign is aimed to reduce cigarette butt litter which often ends up in waterways, entering the food chains of fish, birds and other marine life, who mistake it for food.
Cigarette Butts Take Up To 5 Years To Break Down!
The “No Butts About It” campaign is to educate smokers so they dispose of their cigarette butts responsibly.
