Detour advised when travelling to airport
Alternative routes advised when travelling to the airport
Auckland City Council contractors are currently carrying out important footpath works on Pah Road and Queenstown Road.
As this is a popular route for motorists travelling between downtown and the airport, people are being advised to take an alternative route or to expect delays.
Traffic lights at the Herd Road, Pah Road, Queenstown Road and Trafalgar Street intersections are being adjusted to relieve queues as they develop, to avoid severe congestion
Alternative routes include the Dominion Road, Sandringham Road and Hillsborough Road on ramps to State Highway 20.
The situation should ease slightly towards the end of the week.
