1000 Boats race on Hutt River today
Upper Hosts two Unusual events today
Upper Hutt hosts two unusual events today .At 1pm 1000 model boats will be released to race down the Hutt River as part of fundraising for the Rescue Helicopter Service (Lifeflight Trust) This has been organised by Upper Hutt Cosmopolitan Club .
Then at 5pm there is a the first live "Railroad Blues Concert " on the platform at Silverstream Railway Museum . The steam train will be at the station as part of a celebration of the railroad building era .
