Volunteers needed for Farmers Santa Parade

Volunteers needed for Farmers Santa Parade

The magic of Christmas starts with the Farmers Santa Parade! This festive season, join the Leukaemia & Blood Foundation (LBF) for the annual Farmers Santa Parade on Sunday 28 November 2010.

The LBF is the official charity partner of the Farmers Santa Parade. The LBF is looking for volunteers to participate in this whimsical wonder, to dress in costume and to help collect funds.

In the spirit of the holidays, volunteer with the LBF team and dedicate an afternoon to help those living with blood cancers like leukaemia.

Please volunteer and get involved in your community. We welcome new and previous participants. Invite your friends and family to join you and take part in this iconic Auckland event. Ways you can help:

• Create pre-parade magic by fashioning magnificent props!
• Dress up in festive clown costumes and encourage donations
• Collect funds and give out stickers during the afternoon

Every day 6 New Zealand children and adults are diagnosed with a blood cancer or condition. The LBF is a national organisation dedicated to helping patients and their families living with leukaemia, lymphoma, myeloma and related blood conditions.

The LBF is committed to improving the quality of life for patients and their families living with these blood cancers and conditions by providing patient support services, research, information, awareness and advocacy. The LBF receives no government funding. For more information about the LBF, visit www.leukaemia.org.nz.
