Canon Oceania Donate to Earthquake Appeal
Canon companies in the Oceania region – Canon New Zealand, Canon Australia and Canon Information Systems Research Australia (CiSRA) - today pledged NZ$80,000 to the New Zealand Prime Minister’s Christchurch Earthquake Appeal.
The appeal was launched on Sunday 27th February to help the communities, families and people of the Christchurch and Canterbury region as they begin the slow process of recovery and rebuilding.
“All of us at Canon have been touched by this terrible tragedy and our thoughts are with everyone affected as they begin the long process of recovery,” Kenji Kobayashi, Managing Director Canon Australia & New Zealand said.
Canon’s parent company, Canon Inc in Tokyo has also pledged 5,000,000 yen to the Japanese Red Cross to further assist with the humanitarian efforts.
