Mayor Celia Wade Brown today

Whanui ki te Upoko o te Ika a Maui and Arohanui ki te
Tangata Marae, Waiwhetu will be meeting with Mayor Celia
Wade-Brown in her Chambers at 1pm today.
The purpose of the meeting is to present her with a solemn Settlement Agreement surrounding the ownership of the waka Te Raukura, and to pay $150,000 as agreed to settle the dispute between the Waiwhetu Community and the Wellington City Council.
Te Runanganui o Taranaki Whanui ki te Upoko o te Ika a Maui will continue to care for Te Raukura until such time as a trust representing all the people of the harbour is established to take over this care.
