Oscar nominee to join tonight’s Wellywood protest
An Academy Award nominee will join tonight’s driving protest against the proposed Wellywood sign.
Film Editor Michael Horton, who was nominated for the award for his work on The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers, will take part in the demonstration at Wellington Airport.
Protest organiser Andy Boreham says it’s great to see support from within the film community, especially since the Wellywood sign is most relevant to them.
“We have a lot of support from within the film community, and that’s speaks carloads,” Boreham says.
The driving protest will take place this evening from 6pm.
