Preliminary results of Petone Community Board by-election
The preliminary results of the Petone Community Board by-election were announced today and show Mike Fisher is the highest polling candidate with 996 votes.
Lorraine Williams is the second highest polling candidate with 768 votes, followed by Neil Newman on 469 votes. Two informal votes and nine blank voting papers were received.
In total, 2,244 voting papers were received, excluding special votes, which equates to a voter return of 24.96%.
The final results will be announced later this week following the counting of the special votes.
