High Fashion Bridges the Gap

One of New Zealand’s leading fashion designers and highly regarded businesswoman is showcasing her latest collection in a charity fundraiser of high fashion and entertainment in support of Tekapo’s local heritage.

Annah Stretton will be hosting a fashion show featuring items from her Summer range at the stunning Peppers Bluewater Resort in Lake Tekapo on Saturday 19 November. All proceeds from the event will go to The Lake Tekapo Footbridge Society of local residents who aim to raise one million dollars towards building a footbridge over the Tekapo River outlet.

A footbridge will ensure the safety of residents and tourists, help preserve the sanctity of the Church of the Good Shepherd, alleviate traffic and link the new Regional Park with other walkways and cycleways around Lake Tekapo.

The internationally renowned entertainer Mika will MC the evening which will also feature a performance from the Hat and Hair extravaganza of hats designed by local residents, a fundraising auction of lifestyle and fashion items as well as complimentary canapés and drinks.
