Resurfacing work to start again next week on State Highway 2 Waihi Road
NZ Transport Agency urges motorists travelling along State Highway 2 (SH2) from south of the Te Puna village to Waihi Road next week to expect delays while resurfacing activity takes place.
Traffic management will be directing traffic while single lanes are closed for resurfacing from Te Puna to Tauranga city.
The resurfacing work will be undertaken over three days on Monday 20 February, Tuesday 21 February and again on Wednesday 22 February from 9.00am until 4.00pm.
The NZ Transport Agency (NZTA) advises motorists to take care and adhere to the 30km/hr speed restriction in place.
Bay of Plenty State Highway Manager, Brett Gliddon says variable message boards will be displayed to provide motorists with advanced warning of the works ahead.
This work is weather dependant, and if it is wet this closure will be moved to the next available fine day.
The NZTA thanks motorists for their patience and cooperation during these works.
