Detour in place for resurfacing works from State Highway 2 Route J to Waihi Road
NZ Transport Agency says traffic wishing to travel west to Waihi Road from Route J can expect to be detoured through Cambridge Road on Sunday 4 March from 7.00am as part of planned resurfacing works.
Bay of Plenty State Highway Manager, Brett Gliddon says 190m of resurfacing work will be undertaken on the westbound lane leading from Route J (Tamatea Arikinui Drive) to the intersection of Waihi Road and Beaumaris Boulevard.
The detour through Cambridge Road for westbound traffic will cause minimal delay and depending on the weather should be completed on Sunday at 4.00pm.
We thanks motorists for their patience and cooperation as we undertake planned annual maintenance works on this state highway area, Mr Gliddon says.
Motorists wanting to find out more about the road works or obtain detour information should go to the NZTA’s website at www.nzta.govt.nz; or freephone 0800 4HIGHWAYS (0800 44 44 49).
