NZTA reopens
SH1 after fatal Auckland crash
The NZ Transport Agency has re-opened all southbound lanes of Auckland’s Northern Motorway (State Highway 1) after a fatal crash this morning just north of the Oteha Valley Road interchange.
The NZTA thanks drivers for their support and patience while the motorway lanes were blocked after the crash just before 7am.
The NZTA says traffic is still heavy on the detour routes along SH17 and East Coast Road and it advises drivers to either delay their journey or allow more time until congestion clears.
The northbound lanes of the motorway are not affected by
the crash.
