New Generation Standing for Napier City Council
New Generation Standing for Council
Young local woman Annette Brosnan is standing for the Napier City Council Onekawa / Tamatea ward seat in October’s local body elections.
Annette is a true local to Napier. She attended primary and intermediate schools in Tamatea, Napier Girls’ High School and graduated from EIT in 2008 with a Bachelor of Business Studies, double majoring in management and marketing. Annette grew up in Tamatea, brought her first home in Onekawa and now lives in Lanark Crescent, Tamatea with her electrician husband Greg. For the last 5 years Annette has worked for the Hawke’s Bay Regional Council.
“Standing for City Council was always an aspiration of mine, and working in local government has really fuelled my drive to be involved in local decision making and to advocate for approachable local government for my community”.
The areas Annette is most interested in are building safe family communities, supporting business development and promoting sustainable urban development policies into the future.
“I passionately believe that having a mix of demographics on Council is positive for the City. I think my youth, drive and future-lead vision will be a constructive addition to Napier’s representation”, says Annette.
Annette is excited about getting her campaign underway as she aims to visit and introduce herself to each of the approximately 4,400 households in the ward. She has also launched a facebook page www.facebook.com/Annette4Napier.
Annette’s campaign slogan is Our Neighbourhood, Our Voice she aims to promote real value added and approachable local government.
If you’re in the Tamatea/Onekawa ward Annette will be knocking on your door soon. You can follow her campaign on facebook www.facebook.com/Annette4Napier or find out more about her on www.vote.co.nz
