Second MVC in two days for Greenlea Rescue Helicopter
Second MVC in two days for Greenlea Rescue Helicopter
Hi This afternoon Taupo's greenlea Rescue helicopter was called to the desert road to a MVC.
A 61 year old wellington mans vehicle had left the road and impacted the edge of a bridge. He was flown to Waikato hospital with chest abdominal and spinal injuries.
This comes less that 24 hour since the greenlea helicopter attended a motorcycle crash on SH 41 near Kuratau.
In this crash 42 year old Taranaki man suffered multiple fractures and a severely compromised airway, when the bike he and a pillion passenger were on left the road. He was flown along with his 11 year old son to waikato hospital. The son, who was also wearing high quality heavy duty motorcycle clothing was essentially uninjured and did a outstanding job in supporting his seriously injured father until help arrived.
