Symantec Intelligence Report - September 2013
Symantec has just released its Intelligence Report for September 2013, which provides a snapshot of the current online threat landscape.
Highlights for this
month include:
-Targeted Attacks in 2013
– Attackers have continued to refine their techniques and
add new tricks to attack methods like watering holes and
spear phishing in order to increase the likelihood of
snaring their intended targets.
-Mobile Trends – In 2013, 37 percent of mobile malware is tracking users, which represents a 15 percent increase from 2012. Additionally, traditional threats, such as back doors and downloaders, are present in a fifth of all mobile malware threats.
