Motorcyclist flown to hospital
This afternoon the Tauranga based Trustpower TECT rescue helicopter was called to a rural road south of Te Puke where a 65 year old Rotorua man had fallen from his motorbike while traveling on a gravel road. Being a quiet country road the injured man had to use his cell phone to call for emergency services. Th man received a fractured lower leg in the crash, he was flown to Rotorua hospital for treatment.
