It is a great spectator sport and has been an attraction at European country shows for many years. Recent World Champion, Cherie Stalker, will be competing at the Show.

Mint Lamb Competition
Farmers from throughout New Zealand were invited to showcase their quality lamb and compete in the 2014 Mint Lamb Competition.Lambs were initially judged for yield and then tender tested resulting in 12 finalists. The finalists will be taste tested at 4.30pm with the winner announced following the judging. The taste test judging is hosted by Jamie Mackay from radio’s The Farming Show.

This year’s Canterbury A&P Show will be held Wednesday 12 to Friday 14 November at Canterbury Agricultural Park in Christchurch. It’s the largest A&P Show in the country attracting 100,000 people, close to 6500 livestock and feature competition entries and 550 trade exhibitors.
