SKYCITY provides fireworks for Auckland anniversary
SKYCITY provides fireworks centrepiece for Auckland’s big birthday
SKYCITY will be lighting up the Sky Tower for Auckland Anniversary Weekend and providing an incredible fireworks display on Sunday 26th January.
The fireworks off the Sky Tower will light up Auckland from just above Orbit Restaurant and The Sugar Club (levels 55 and 61) and will go for eight minutes.
Starting at 9.30pm, this display will be the centrepiece of a fireworks extravaganza across the city as Auckland celebrates its 175th birthday, with the Sky Tower also glowing blue and white for the weekend.
The Sky Tower is the Southern Hemisphere’s tallest man-made structure and has become an iconic part of Auckland’s cityscape.
SKYCITY lights the Sky Tower to show support for a number of organisations and special events, often for charities or community initiatives that we support financially, or to mark national holidays, milestones or other celebrations.
