Radius Fulton Residents Evacuated for Dunedin
Flooding
Elderly residents at Radius Fulton in Dunedin
are being evacuated after torrential rain has caused
substantial flooding to the rest home and Caversham
region.
Managing Director of Radius Care, Brien Cree, says primary focus is on the safety and wellbeing of residents and staff and plans are currently afoot, with the assistance of local DHB, civil defence, emergency services and family members to move residents to safer premises immediately.
“Management at Radius Fulton is being well supported and we forecast a safe and speedy evacuation of the premises,” says Mr Cree.
Weather forecasts for the region are for more heavy rain so at this stage it is uncertain as to when residents and staff can return to Radius Fulton.
