Northpower warns against rogue tree cutters
Northpower has echoed Top Energy’s
caution around rogue tree cutters.
Northpower Network General Manager Graham Dawson is concerned at reports of people posing as Northpower arborists and seeking payment immediately.
“Our arborists do not cold call and ask for money for tree trimming. We send letters to land owners ahead of time, provide written quotes as to the likely cost of the work required. Sometimes a tree officer will follow up with a visit before our crews do the work.
“If any Northpower consumers in Whangarei or Kaipara are approached by people seeking money for trimming trees they should phone the police immediately and also report the incident to us on 09-430-1784 or 0800-10-40-40.
All Northpower tree cutters wear clearly branded Northpower personal protective equipment (PPE) and drive Northpower branded vehicles.
