Auckland, New Zealand, 26 April 2016 – Ben & Jerry’s is calling on Kiwis to get moooving to do their bit and help literally clean up their communities by joining its Scooper staff on Saturday 14th of May as they #scoopitup around Ponsonby’s parks.

Joining forces with Keep New Zealand Beautiful, Ben & Jerry’s will lead a herd of volunteers across three parks in the surrounding Ponsonby area, scooping up litter as they go. Starting at Point Erin Park at 10am, the volunteers will graze their way through Cox’s Bay Park and Grey Lynn Park on their litter obliterating mission, before finishing up at Western Park in Ponsonby. They’ll then make their way to the Ben & Jerry’s Scoop Shop, 160 Ponsonby Road, for a well-deserved ice cream hit, compliments of Ben & Jerry themselves.

“We’ve got a responsibility to the community that supports Ben & Jerry’s which is why we want to get Kiwis moooving to keep Ponsonby clean, safe and in top notch condition.” said Kylie Le-May, Ben & Jerry’s marketing guru.

“That’s why we’ve teamed up with Keep New Zealand Beautiful and are calling on everyone to get involved and #scoopitup on Saturday 14 May– let’s get together and Keep Ponsonby Beautiful!”

Fans can follow the herd and share their own litter scooping activities by using the hashtag #scoopitup.
