Mackenzie Country Dairy Farming Expansion
Mackenzie Country Dairy Farming Expansion
The NZ Federation of Freshwater Anglers supports the reported comments of Forest and Bird on this issue today.
The ravaging of wild ecosystems by dairy farming, through the inefficient spraying of water from our natural waterways into the wind, has passed the "environmental tipping point", and it is time for the dairy industry to realise that we have enough cows and they should concentrate on a value added approach to what they already have.
Water is a common good and not a plaything for those with little environmental awareness.
