Immersive Gothic show at the re-opened Old Stone House

NO Productions Theatre, creators of the immersive Ferrymead ghost stories, Riccarton house adventure tours, stage shows The Woman in Black and Turn of the Screw present their new show!

Written by Nataliya Oryshchuk and David Allen, this project celebrates the re-opening of the beautiful Old Stone House (1870) after extensive earthquake repairs. The audience will have a unique opportunity to tour this heritage venue and experience a one-of-a-kind live theatre performance for two nights only: 30 October and 1 November, at 8pm.

On the eve of Halloween, 31 October, Christchurch audiences will also get a chance to catch a special pop-up, touring version of the show at Little Andromeda.

As dusk falls on the city, NO Productions Theatre invites you to join a popular 19th century literary salon during the Halloween season. Enjoy the delightful horror of Edgar Alan Poe’s tales performed in soft candlelight by expert storytellers!

It is 1880, Christchurch, and the newly-arrived Lord Ravencourt (Michael Adams), patron of the arts, has secured the services of the famous Mr Allen (David Allen) to provide tonight’s entertainment. But everything is not as it seems, and Lenore Ravecourt (Nataliya Oryshchuk) may not be entirely dead... As the night grows darker, so do the stories. Guests will travel through the Old Stone House to encounter the secrets that lurk in its shadows...

Light refreshments and live piano music (Elizabeth Woods) are included in the ticket price of the Old Stone House performances. Seats at the Old Stone House are strictly limited to 35 per performance. Evening attire might be appropriate.
