Daytime Closure For SH1 Near Mosgiel

Road users should plan ahead for a daytime closure of State Highway 1 between East Taieri and Kinmont Park, near Mosgiel, next week.
The section of SH1/Main South Road, between Riccarton Road East and Quarry Road, is due to be closed from 9am to 3.30pm on Tuesday 30 September. This is to allow repairs to wire rope barriers and road resurfacing to take place.
A detour will be in place for northbound traffic via Riccarton Rd East, Gladstone Rd South and State Highway 87/Quarry Rd. The reverse applies for southbound traffic. Road users should expect delays particularly at the SH87 Quarry Road and Gladstone Road South intersection, where periods of congestion are likely.
This work is dependent on various factors and may be postponed or extended at short notice. If this happens, an update will be provided. You can also stay up to date on the status of state highways at our Journey Planner site.
