Taylor River Bridge Night Works
Work starts on Sunday night on the replacement of a water main pipe across the SH1 Taylor River bridge.
Construction will run through until December 12 and will mostly be carried out at night from 7.30pm to 5.30am from Sunday to Thursday.
The road will reduce to one lane across the bridge during work and operate under stop/go access which may result in delays of up to 10 minutes.
There will be a 30km/h speed restriction in place.
The western footpath will be closed with a designated detour around the worksite.
Construction includes lifting the existing footpath concrete panels to remove the old water main and then installing a new water main pipe along with new connections to infrastructure at either end.
Work will involve heavy machinery and there will be noise and dust, even though appropriate measures will be taken to keep these to a minimum.
