Beach Buses
The BusLink beach bus service from Northland Regional Council will run again in Summer 2026.
This summer the route will be Rose Street Whangārei to Ruakākā Beach.
The beach bus will run every Thursday, from Thursday 08 January to Thursday 05 February 2026.
The bus will leave Rose Street bus hub for Ruakākā Beach at 11.15am and return from the beach at 2pm, arriving at Rose Street at about 2.45pm.
The beach bus is a cash only service; $5 single, $10 return.
Taking the bus is the perfect way to avoid the hassle of driving and parking, or for people without access to a vehicle to enjoy a trip to the beach.
