Ethical Career Choices Supported By New Job Board
Ethical Career Choices Supported By New Niche Job Board!
Changing the world, one career at a time, newly launched ethical job board www.realchangejobs.co.nz is set for success to meet the needs of the “eco-friendly” career focused population.
With a background in talent-searching for Not for Profit roles, Brad Stewart, founder of www.realchangejobs.co.nz was challenged in finding appropriate advertising channels for the specialised sector roles. Searching for a solution and finding nothing, Brad commenced a global research project leading to the need for a New Zealand based job board offering the missing service in the market. Several months later, with the support of a key development team – www.realchangejobs.co.nz was born.
“Essentially, it’s about allowing people with a passion for sustainable and ethical business to connect not only in New Zealand but with the rest of the world” says Brad Stewart – founder and director of www.realchangejobs.co.nz
The job board itself, already supported by users such as GreenPeace, World Vision, Pathways and CAPS Hauraki, is attracting talk in the industry amongst key stakeholders and is celebrating the placement of its first job-seeker, Sarah Coulibaly, into permanent employment.
“Thanks to realchangejobs.co.nz, I have found the job of my dreams! I arrived in New Zealand with an "original" background and after a few months of unsuccessful interviews, I was ready to give up the career I had dreamt of, until I found realchangejobs.co.nz! The roles were exactly what I had been looking for. I immediately registered, applied and got the role! You can't imagine how good it feels! I now have the opportunity to work with a great team, in a position where my competences and qualities are useful. I feel so lucky, because at the same time I have the chance to make the world a better place to live. I'm working for a cause I believe in!” says Sarah Coulibaly
Brad Stewart has been pleasantly surprised at the site’s statistics to date with 5,129 total page views in the first month, 4.37 average page views and 5.15 minutes on average on the site for each user. The statistics are sky-rocketing too, as more ethically focussed and “green collared” careered people are learning about their options for newly available roles for the 2010.
“We have some amazing plans for the site and the overall development of the business with serious goals to match” says Brad. “It surely will be an exciting 2010 for us!”
