Reminder: Cleaners will be rallying in Auckland, Wellington and all over Australia today to highlight to situation for cleaners worldwide and award the 2006 Golden Toilet Brush Award to this year's winner ALLCO FINANCE GROUP Ltd. Union members cleaners will be available for comment.
In Australia and New Zealand cleaners already earn below poverty wages. Cleaners around both countries are coming together to put a stop to ridiculous work rates that prevent them from doing their work properly and pay rates that keep them trapped in a cycle of poverty.
Cleaners will be available for comment at the rallies.
What: Thursday, 15th June 2006 is International Cleaners Day. Come along and help cleaners commemorate the day and to find out who will win the Golden Toilet Brush Award!
