MFAT: Travel Advice For Thailand
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade has revised its travel advice for Thailand and this can be found on www.safetravel.govt.nz
Information about the overnight bombings has been included in the advice and New Zealanders have been advised to avoid unnecessary travel in Bangkok. The overall risk assessment for Thailand, and Bangkok, has not changed.
The advisory remains under review and media
should continue to monitor the
safetravel website for any
updates.
New Zealand Embassy officials in Bangkok have been in contact with Thai police and hospital authorities. There are no reports of New Zealanders injured in the bombings.
