A group of young thugs leave a child's birthday party to go for some more alcohol, and take a loaded weapon with them. Something goes wrong and a hard working, responsible young father is murdered in cold blood, when he was not even resisting! In some States in the USA that would be a capital offence; but here they might get 10 years, less if they say they are sorry. An 80 year old woman has been battered in her own home for no apparent reason, and died later in hospital. Why have the elderly become targets for cowardly and soulless attackers?
GREY POWER expects this election year to see action to remove tolerance for any crime. No bail for perpetrators of violent crime and no parole for crimes of violence.
