Superannuation was increased to adjust the Tax cuts which
raised the net average wage after tax, the Beneficiaries
were completely forgotten by Government. With the 10.6%
increase in the cost of food for the year ending August 31
2008 plus the increases to Rates and Rents, and Energy. This
is the biggest monthly increase for 19 years. For those
Beneficiaries on the base level of Benefit and low income
earners are now living in Poverty. Grey Power calls on all
Political Parties to provide an overdue increase to all
Beneficiaries now to reduce the level of Poverty that they
now face daily.
