At this point, the situation is still fluid. The New Zealand High Commission in New Delhi is seeking information on any New Zealanders that may have been caught up in the incident. They are talking to local authorities, and will be contacting New Zealanders for whom we have contact details.
New Zealanders concerned about family members in Mumbai should try to make contact with them first. Those with concerns about the wellbeing of relatives may call the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on 439 8000 or email safetravel@mft.govt.nz, with as many contact details as possible.
Further information will be made available as it comes to hand.
