Plunket: Make payroll giving your New Year’s resolution
Building strong New Zealand families and
communities is a priority for Plunket – and a new
voluntary payroll giving scheme makes it easier for
employees to help their favourite not-for-profit
organisations.
The payroll giving system has been
designed to give employees an opportunity to donate to
approved organisations direct from their pay packet, and get
immediate tax credits in return.
After being successfully introduced overseas, payroll giving here has been supported by the Government to advance New Zealand’s charitable giving culture.
The scheme allows employees to make donations to Plunket and other charitable organisations automatically from their pay and is a great alternative to giving, retaining a receipt and claiming a tax credit at the end of the year.
If you make a $10 donation to Plunket every week you will receive a tax credit of $3.33.
Donations will help Plunket provide the best start for every Kiwi child. Plunket works to provide support services for New Zealand families including parenting education, family support centres and the car seat rental scheme. Every dollar will help us work towards expanding and extending such crucial services into communities around the country.
