Dakta Green To Stand For New Lynn

The Aotearoa Legalise Cannabis Party (ALCP) is pleased to announce that Dakta Green will stand for the party in the New Lynn electorate in this year's election.

Dakta Green founded New Zealand's first cannabis cafe, The Daktory, in New Lynn.

He will be campaigning for the party vote onboard ALCP's new canna-bus which is based at the Daktory.

However Dakta Green's campaign may be jepordised by an upcoming jury trial on cannabis charges.

Dakta Green applied to the court to adjourn his case until December to allow him to focus on his election campaign.

However the Judge declined the application and set the trial to commence on May 9.

Dakta Green faces jail if the Jury finds him guilty.
