Former
British High Commissioner thanks New
Zealanders
Former British High Commissioner George Fergusson, who has lost sight in one eye following an attack in London last week, is making a good recovery.
In a statement issued today through the British High Commission, Mr Fergusson said "I and my family have been touched by the enormous number of messages of goodwill from Kiwis in New Zealand and in many other places around the world. “
“People have been incredibly kind and supportive and we really appreciate it. I am getting better very quickly thanks to some very clever surgery and think I have been very lucky that things have not been worse."
