Zealand ShakeOut: 44,000 registered yesterday, still time to
register this morning
Yesterday saw a big increase in numbers registered for New Zealand’s national earthquake drill, New Zealand ShakeOut.
Another 44,000 registered yesterday taking the total to over 1.3 million, and there is still time to register today. Go to http://www.shakeout.govt.nz/register/index.php
The drill starts at 9:26am today. Many radio stations will broadcast the civil defence “sting” to announce the drill, TVNZ will broadcast an earthquake drill live from Mt Eden Normal Primary School, and schools workplaces and other organisations throughout the country are starting the drill in many different ways.
