PRESS STATEMENT FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

National Man Up Convention Saturday, 26th November, 2016
‘Raising Fathers to save our Children’
Organisers of this weekend event are expecting well over 1000 men from backgrounds of drugs, domestic violence, gang affiliation and imprisonment to converge at 25 Druces Road, Manukau this Saturday for the inaugural Man Up National Convention New Zealand.
The National Director of Man Up New Zealand, Caine Warren, says “Our transformational programmes are creating lasting solutions to New Zealand’s man problem”. “We chose this date so that it would coincide with ‘International White Ribbon Week’. Man Up is all about supporting Men to make positive changes and overcome their issues in life” said Caine Warren.
“Over the last 18 months we have launched 91 Man Up groups in towns and cities across New Zealand and Australia, working with some of society’s worst cases and produced outstanding results. This weekend Man Up New Zealand will be launching its National Strategy to establish a Man Up Group in every town and city throughout New Zealand”.
Those attending can expect to hear the raw testimonies from men who have overcome their demons and the realities of dysfunctional living to become better men, fathers, partners, husbands and leaders of their families.
Key note speaker for this event will be Bishop Brian Tamaki with a guest appearance from Stan Walker, his father and brother, who will also share their story.
